When starting a new project you can create a project from scratch or use a project template that you've previously made to help speed up the process. Using a project template helps to pre-load a new project with all the information and detail included in the template. Continue on to learn more about this process.

To begin, click on Projects from the main menu, then click "New Project" in the upper-right corner. This will load a pop-up window, where you may enter the details of your project including name, number, project color, and billable status.

After adding these details, select the Template drop-down and choose the desired template you would like to create your project from. This will also prompt a Start Date box to appear, allowing you to set a starting date for your new project. Your starting date will shift any dates saved with your template to update accordingly.

Next, you will see the Project Planner for your new project. All of the information displayed here will be based on the saved format and information from the template chosen. The same will occur for the Consultants and General sections of your project.

You may now continue to make any necessary updates to your project as normal. If you would like to learn more about modifying a project, please refer to this article.

Once you have completed all of the changes, click the "Done" button in the upper-right corner to return to the Specific Project Overview. From here, you may make any necessary changes to Milestones & Tasks that are copied over from your template.

Please note that any changes made to your project will not impact the template you used to create it.
