After a project is created, the project's Details page will store important details about the project, such as general project information, address, and more. Much of this information will appear on the Project-Specific Overview page.

To find this page, navigate to Projects, click on the project name, and then click on Details in the sub-menu.

Continue reading below to learn more about each section of this page.

Basic Info

  • Name - the name of the project, which is editable at any time.

  • Number & Color - the project number and color that is associated with the project.

  • Project Type - determine if this will be a billable project that is billed to a client or is non-billable, such as an internal project.

  • Categories - add applicable categories to the project (ex: Residential and Single-Family) to help customize and filter views later.

  • Client - select the existing client associated with the project or add a new client.

  • Project Address - the address that will appear when an invoice is generated for the project.

  • Notes - any information that will be important to future billing, the team, and development.

    • Some suggestions: Preferred payment method; Consultant's contact information; Source of the project; Retainer information.

Project Size

Enter the project's Gross Square Feet/Meters and Construction Costs that can be used for reporting purposes within the Projects Report. Click here to learn more.

Project Documents

Team members with permission to edit projects are able to upload and download PDF files in a project's Details page:

Consultant Collaboration

Here's where you can invite consultants to collaborate on projects and see a list of those who have already been invited. Automatic consultant invitations can be enabled or disabled by using the Automatic consultant invitations toggle.

πŸš€ This is where you can also set up consultant bill reminders.

Share Link

Turn this on to create a free, shareable link with anyone outside of your Monograph team, which can be turned off at any time.

  • This will show an overview of the project's schedule, including phases and milestones.

  • This will not show any financial data, including the Money Gantt.

  • The Shareable Link can also be found on the project's Overview page.

Expense Markup

Control the markup for each expense for each particular project. Expense markups will default to the percentages set in Settings, but they can be overridden as needed based on the contract.

Next Steps for Project Creation

You've finished adding the project's Details - now what? Make sure that the project's budget information and team assignments have been added in the Project Budget page and any Consultants have been added.

If everything is complete - congratulations, you've built your project! πŸŽ‰
