In-App Notifications

Our in-app notification menu helps you stay on top of important updates without ever leaving the app.

Updated over a month ago

Never miss an important update again! Whether it’s a new deliverable assigned to you, a project status change, or someone tagging you in a comment, Monograph’s in-app notifications are designed to keep you informed and in control.

All users have access to in-app notifications. As long as you're logged into the platform, you'll receive real-time updates about activities that require your attention—right inside the app.

🚨 Note: In-app notifications are currently not supported on the mobile app or mobile web view.

Navigating the Notifications Panel

To view notifications, click the bell icon located on the left-hand menu, just below your firm’s logo. When there are unread notifications, a red badge will display the number of pending updates.

Clicking on a notification will open the related item, allowing you to take action quickly and keep things moving.

Notifications are grouped by timeframe for easier navigation:

  • Today

    • Will show as minutes and hours

  • This Week (starting Monday)

    • Will show as days

  • Last Week (Monday–Sunday)

    • Will show as the specific date

  • Older than Last Week

Hovering over a notification's time event will show the exact date and time of the notification.

The Unread tab will include all new notifications, while the All tab will show the full notification history, whether read or unread.

Hover over a notification and click “Mark as Read” to remove it from your unread list. Click on a notification to expand its details or select “Show Less” to collapse it.

Customizing notifications

By default, all notification settings are enabled for all users. These settings can be adjusted at any time to control which notifications are received.

Each notification includes a checkbox that users can select or deselect according to their preferences. To manage these settings, go to Settings > Notifications.

Notifications are grouped into two main categories: General Notifications and Project Notifications. Toward the bottom of the page, there’s an option to show or hide the list of all followed projects. From there, users can choose to unfollow specific projects by clicking "Unfollow", allowing for more personalized and streamlined notifications.

Note: The types of notifications available may vary depending on a user's assigned permissions. As a result, not all users will see the same set of notification options.
