Staffing is visible to everyone on your team, but it can only be edited by Admins or users with "Manage Staffing" Permissions enabled.

For most teams, this means that only a few individuals who function as project managers or principals will be able to make changes to the Staffing Planner after staffing allocations are made.

Whether your team is small or large, we suggest that you assign 1 - 2 individuals who are the ones responsible for generating the weekly schedule, the same as you would work with timesheet export or payroll processing.

If you're unsure if allocations have been manually added or edited, you can tell by looking at the allocation cards in any of the Staffing timeframes.

If an allocation was manually added or edited, a grey pencil icon will appear in the upper right corner of the card or cell. Any allocations that were generated by Monograph will not have a pencil icon.

Example - Week timeframe

Example - Month, 3 Month, or Year timeframe

If you would like to limit the individuals who can make changes to Staffing, you can review your permissions and restrict the number of users who can edit projects by removing "Manage Staffing" from the applicable policies.

If you are unsure who on your team can edit projects, you should first confirm what access level that individual has by going to the "Team" tab. Then navigate to your "Settings" tab, then "Permissions" to review what their permission level allows them to see and do.

As of May 2024, "Staffing Availability" and "Staffing Current Week" have been combined into the Staffing - People view.
