Staffing Isn't Working

Understanding the minimum information needed for generating Staffing

Staffing, much like Reports, is fueled by the information entered in other parts of the app.

Before you are able to staff hours to your team using the Staffing People view, you will need to input information into Monograph.

You will need to have a minimum of one Project, with one phase and a person assigned to the project and hours allocated to that person. Without this minimum, Staffing will not work for you because we can not generate a schedule of time to spend on a project, without knowing what projects you are working on.

Depending on a phase's duration and the hours that are assigned to a team member, if the weekly hours average to less than .25 hours each week, rebalancing hours will not return any hours.

In order to allocate hours to a phase, the phase must be both active and current. This means that phases that have ended or have not yet started will not appear as an option to add hours in Staffing. If the phase should have hours allocated in Staffing, the phase's date range in the Project Planner will need to be adjusted.

As of May 2024, "Staffing Availability" and "Staffing Current Week" have been combined into the Staffing - People view.
