What is the Payroll Report?

If you're wrapping up payroll or would just like to see how many hours your team has logged so far to any overhead categories, then look no further than our Payroll Report. The Payroll Report will show all time logged towards Projects and Overhead Categories, as well as all reimbursable expenses logged.

Navigating to the Payroll Report

To navigate to the Payroll Report, head to Money > Payroll report on the left-hand side of the screen. From there, select the Payroll Tab.

Different Parts of the Payroll Report

The Payroll Report will be broken up into multiple columns that include Employee, Reimbursables, Total Hours, Work Hours, and any Overhead Categories you create within your App Defaults of the Settings Page.

Employee - this column will show you a list of your employees listed in alphabetical order by first name.

Reimbursables - this column will show all reimbursable expenses each employee has logged during the selected timeframe. Clicking on the reimbursable total will take you to the Expense report that will be filtered to that specific person's reimbursable expenses.

Total Hours - this column will show you the total number of hours across your work hours and overhead categories.

Work Hours - this column will show you the total number of hours logged toward projects (both billable and non-billable).

Overhead Category Columns - these columns will vary based on how you set up your Overhead Categories within your app defaults. The shows shown will be the total number of hours logged towards any of these Overhead Categories.

Total - The total will show you a cumulative total across your entire team.

Exporting the Payroll Report

To export this report, click on the "Export" button found above the table. It will export this data into a CSV file that can be edited or filtered as needed. If there are no hours logged by a specific employee for a specific overhead category, then the CSV file will leave the cell blank.

πŸ’‘ The exported file will contain data only pertaining to the date range specified in the report!

Where Does the Information Come From?

All of the information you receive from the Payroll Report comes directly from the time that's logged within timesheets.

  • Total Hours - a sum of work hours and overhead categories.

  • Work Hours - number of hours logged towards projects (billable and non-billable).

  • Overhead Categories - set up within the App Defaults of the Settings Page, these numbers are the number of hours logged towards these overhead categories.
