In addition to your private password, Monograph supports Two-factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure no unauthorized individuals get access to your firm's sensitive data. 2FA accomplishes this by requiring the entry of additional details accessed on your mobile device.
To set up your account with this extra level of security, follow these steps:
On your mobile device, download an authenticator app, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, and log in or create an account in the app chosen
In Monograph, go to your profile by clicking on your photo or initials in the bottom-left of the menu bar
Go to the Account Security section and click Turn on under Two-factor Authentication
You will see a QR code
Open your authenticator app and click to scan a QR code via the specific methods of your app
Scan the QR code in Monograph on your app
You should see a new item listed in the authenticator app with 6 digits
Once the QR code is scanned, you will need to enter the 6 digits that appear into Monograph to confirm the setup
Note: there is a timer for each 6 digits. You will need to enter these specific numbers before the timer elapses otherwise they will expire, and you will need to re-enter the new 6 digits that are automatically generated.
After confirming, your account is secure! You will now be prompted on login to input the current 6 digit code from your authenticator app after entering your password. If you lose access to this app, you will be unable to log in to Monograph. In this case, please reach out to Monograph support to help you regain access to your account.
