Ask Monograph uses information stored in Monograph to answer questions about your firm, projects, finances, staffing, and team activity.

Ask Monograph supports natural language questions, so you can type a question in your own words or select one of the suggested prompts that appear in the feature.
Examples of the suggested prompts include:
What should I be working on right now?
How many invoices are overdue and what's that worth?
Who hasn't logged time this week?
Who is on PTO this week?
Is everyone fully staffed this week?
What was my utilization rate for May?

Access Ask Monograph
Ask Monograph is available from the Dashboard (Home > Dashboard), as well as the Quick Search feature.
All users on an active paid subscription can access Ask Monograph, but the information they can view depends on their permission level.
If a user asks a question about information they don't have permission to access, Ask Monograph will not provide an answer and will instead prompt them to contact an Admin for access.
Accessing from Quick Search
Ask Monograph can also be used through Quick Search, which is available globally when viewing any page in Monograph.
While in Monograph, press Command + K.
Type a question.
Click Ask Monograph to receive an answer.

Who can use Ask Monograph?
All users on an active paid subscription can access Ask Monograph. The information available to each user is determined by their permission level.
Can Ask Monograph be disabled?
No. Ask Monograph cannot currently be disabled, but using it is optional.
How are the suggested questions generated?
Suggested questions appear at random and automatically refresh every few seconds. The same suggested questions will appear for all users, but users may not be able to access every answer depending on their permissions.
Can I ask questions in my own words?
Yes. Ask Monograph supports natural language questions, so you don't need to use the suggested prompts. Type your question as you normally would and Ask Monograph will use your firm's data to generate an answer.
Does Ask Monograph only consider data created after the feature was enabled?
Ask Monograph considers data from all time, not just from when the feature was enabled.
How long does it take for new data to become available?
Data is available immediately after it's saved in Monograph. For example, once a time entry is logged, an invoice is created, or a project is updated, Ask Monograph can reference that information in its answers.
Why didn't I receive an answer to my question?
Ask Monograph can only answer questions using information that exists within Monograph and that you have permission to access.
If the information doesn't exist in Monograph or you don't have permission to view it, Ask Monograph will not return an answer.
