Monograph solves the problem of cross-platform data exchange by allowing you to export all of your team's timesheet data from Monograph into a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file using the Organization Timesheet export. You can then import this CSV file from Monograph into your favorite platform.

Pro Tips: Importing a CSV file after manipulating it in Microsoft® Office Excel might cause issues. For more information, please refer to the following links:

  1. Convert numbers stored as text to numbers and,

  2. Convert dates stored as text to dates.

Additionally, this export is a great resource to use if you're wanting to know the total number of hours/fees spent across all of your team's projects (or a specific individual) within a specified duration of time. Simply follow the steps below and apply filters as necessary after you've downloaded the CSV file.

Exporting Timesheet

To export the Organization Timesheet, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click on Timesheets on the main menu.

Step 2: Open Organization Timesheets tab.

Step 3: Click on the "Export" button on the upper-right corner of the Organization Timesheets screen.

Step 4: Select Criteria
In the Export Timesheets as CSV box that will appear in the center of your screen, fill the available fields.

The following table contains information on each of the fields in the Export Timesheets as CSV box.

Begin Date

Date from which the CSV file should give the timesheet data

End Date

Date to which the CSV file should give the timesheet data

Format

Format of the data in CSV output

  1. Dates as rows will produce one row per timesheet entry

  2. Dates as columns will distribute the date range into columns and produce a row per hour entered in timesheets

Include Notes

Tick the box if you also want to include timesheet notes in the CSV file

Step 5: Click Download CSV.
